1. what first inspired you to become a drummer?

Seeing the drummers in my primary school stage band. I couldn't comprehend how they were doing so many things at once and reading it all off a page.

2. anything that you’ve learnt along the way that’s really helped you as a drummer?

Be prepared, play with passion, have confidence in yourself and love your instrument.

3. who have you and/or who are you playing with at the moment and what are the bands movements? Anything to plug?

The groups I am currently working with are:

Raw Dance Company www.rawdancecompany.com

Dash & Will www.myspace.com/dashandwill

We are currently in the middle of a national tour to promote our current single "out of control", which is taken from our debut album, due for release later this year.

Declan & The Antics www.myspace.com/declanandtheantics

Polygon Palace www.myspace.com/polygonpalace

Number Station www.numberstation.com.au

I also actively perform and record with various other bands and solo artists as a session player.

4. what gear are you using at present?

Yamaha Oak Custom Drums

Paiste Twenty Series Cymbals

Vater Drumsticks

Evans Drumheads

Yamaha Pedals and Hardware

5. what would be your dream gig?

I think I'd be satisfied with headlining Glastonbury.

6. favourite drummers and/or bands and why?

Off the top of my head, a few of my favourites would include: Kenny Aronoff, Jason Sutter, Phil Rudd, Grant Collins, Steve Jordan, Steve Gadd, Keith Moon, John Bonham, Jeff Porcaro, Keith Carlock, Tommy Lee, Steve Smith, Dave Grohl, and Graham Morgan. All these guys have their own sound and style and play with passion.
