WHAT IS THE XOXO TOUR
The first ever live music collective -
the 'xoxo tour' an international
celebration of Women In
Australian Music will include The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Czech
Republic, Poland, Russia, Romania, Turkey and more. And even better, we've
introduced Australia's first official 'cultural exchange' initiative providing
local female fronted bands, in each foreign city we showcase, the opportunity to
perform our event and join the xoxo movement. This is what we like to call a
CELEBRATION OF WOMEN in INTERNATIONAL MUSIC. The New Found Frequency crew will
be recording these international shows live and featuring them on site for

initiative 'xoxo tour '07' an
international celebration of 'Women in
Australian Music' is presented by New Found Frequency - Your Live Music
Network and supported by the Australian Music Office, Australia Council
& Australian Export Tour, National Film & Sound Archive, Austrade, Salt
Studios, The Orchard, Amphead Music and Revolver Drums. The is the official 'hello and good bye' showcase will be
held at Revolver Upstairs, 229 Chapel Str. Prahran - as we launch our new
international tour in Melbourne and then head off overseas to continue our
European tour including our official showcase at this year's Popkomm Festival in Berlin, Germany. We have a
diverse group of Australian artists scheduled to perform live including: Asleep In The Park, Konqistador,
Lillian Thoms, Beki and the Bullets and Gecko Roman Project. Live
showcase starts at 9pm with a special VIP Industry Party RSVP only starting at
7pm.

Beki & The Bullets:
A dance floor crashing, pop
explosion with a twist of lemon and a shot of Tabasco. Described as 'The Cure
meets the Go-Go's, Beki & The Bullets' new single-title track from their EP,
'Wait & See'' (released June 18th) is already earning the band loads of
attention across the globe. Creating a buzz in London, having just signed on to
be co-managed by Neil Cartwright (who looks after Jamiroquai and former head of
New Media @ Sony UK) and invited to appear on two compilations through LA based
label 'Filthy Little Angels', Beki & The Bullets are ready to take on the
international stage with their sweet candy pop music sensation!

Konqistador:
Konqistador deliver
unsettling-uncompromising-avant garde-evil-electro-rock, delving in French
carnivale, German industrialism,
Prussian spoken word, and the history of
the Spanish Conquistadores, bridging new worlds with old, seeking the
underground...there are no barriers to the intense diversity of their music
and live show. The K-unit just returned from their sold out showcase at the
NXNE Film & Music Festival in Toronto, Canada supported by Australia
Council 'International Pathways' and now head to Europe to conquer more
territory.

Lillian Thoms:
Striking a balance
between the business and the craft, Lillian earned her stripes working for
independent label Shock Records and gave rise to Athenas Song, a festival in
celebration of Australian women in music showcasing the likes of Monique Brumby
and Sally Dastey. These days, Lillian cant quite imagine life without a
guitar in her hand, a few chords and a whole new path before her. And after
hearing her album "Hit The Ground" you'll agree she has well and truly found her
voice. Catch her live as she delivers her raucous, upbeat indie-rock grooves to
the stage.

Asleep in the
Park are a raucous, upbeat, indie-rock band that have emerged from the cluttered
streets of inner Melbourne and are now marching their trademark high-energy
harmonies across the city and beyond. An excursion into the phonological loop of
self and society, like a baby crawling around a dirty house, listening to Asleep
in the Park will leave a wondrous musical stain on your knees, arms and face, unable to be removed by any biologically
sound detergent. But why would you want to? Dirt is good!

Gecko Roman Project
GeckoRomanProject
is what happened when four Australian musicians (actually, three and a half
Australian and a half a Turk) went to Turkey to do some gigs. The music is strongly ryhthmic and
richly textured and includes an extensive repertoire of songs traditional,
contemproary and original with a twist of reggae, ska, funk, jazz, ciftetelli
and dancehall. This is a band that sees no race and is dedicated to brining
people of all classes, cultures and creeds together for a great time.
