Musical styles include; Samba / Batucada, Capoeira Music, Samba Reggae and other Afro-Brazilian Music.  

Musical instruments are all provided and include Surdo, Repinique, Pandeiro, Ago-go, Shaker, Reco Reco, Tamborin, Timbal and other hand drums, and many more.

Experience the fun and excitement of Brazilian percussion and gain insights into practice methods and easy ways to learn new rhythms. Hand-outs will be provided that cater for both readers and non readers of music.

More about Mark

Mark is a versatile musician, performer, recording artist and teacher. He
began performing at gigs and festivals as a teenager in Mallacoota, in Victoria’s East Gippsland. He now tours several of his bands nationally and internationally and runs a successful workshop program that has been taken up by community development professionals, schools and festivals throughout Victoria. He has also taught percussion at Melbourne University, has recently completed a teaching engagement for the “Open Air School’ in the Northern Territory, and is regarded as one of Victoria’s foremost exponents of the infectious and dynamic percussive sounds of Brazil.
